Abstract: In recent years, the application of lipidomics in lung cancer research has receivedincreasing attention, providing new perspectives on understanding the pathogenesis and therapeutic strategies of lung cancer. With technological advances, lipidomics will play a more critical role in lung cancer research and provide more specific biomarkers and pharmacodynamic evaluation tools for early diagnosis, condition monitoring, and personalized treatment of lung cancer. This review discusses the critical roles of core technologies like mass spectrometry and bioinformatics in lung cancer research. It also emphasizes the importance of serum and tissue-based lipidomics analysis in exploring specific biomarkers and differences between subtypes of lung cancer. Novel lipidomics strategies provide new directions for elucidating lung cancer pathogenesis and therapeutic strategy selection.
